Send a message

    Choose a route

    Use hosted AI when signed in. Optional BYOK remains a Terminal CLI workflow for advanced users.

    Compose

    Type or insert a voice transcript in the composer.

    Submit

    Send once. The existing conversation session is reused for follow-up messages.

Usage counting

A successful hosted submission consumes hosted AI usage from your included allowance or purchased AI credits. Failed authentication, cancelled voice recording, empty transcript and failed transcription do not create a separate voice billing path.

Persistent chat context

When chat cannot start

OpenSS verifies the bundled engine API version before enabling chat. Use Restart and retry if the local engine is unavailable. The recovery action stops confirmed OpenSS-owned engine processes, starts the bundled version and recreates the local session.
